shaving mugs were popular in roughly the years between 1880 and 1920 and are considered the original time period for the occupational shaving mug. Most men owned a shaving mug, either at home or at a barber shop.
i've only been able to find one other on the internet and can confirm it is from the 1970's. the home that i purchased it from was owned by an older couple that purchased this back in 1979 so it is fairly old.
very minor wear and discoloration, looks fairly new. this has since been washed since photos were taken and is sparkling clean and ready for you to enjoy.
